13 Sep Leading the Cleanliness Revolution with Swachhata Pakhwada
Reading Time: 9 minutesDoaba Public School, the Top CBSE Schools in Garhshankar is gearing up to take part in Swachhata Pakhwada – a wonderful initiative by the Government of India that focuses on promoting cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene. From September 1st to 15th, 2024, we have some amazing activities planned to not only keep our school squeaky clean but also spread the word about the importance of hygiene to everyone around us.
Engaging Activities to Drive Change
Swachhata Shapath: We kick off Swachhata Pakhwada with a collective pledge-taking ceremony, involving all students, teachers, and staff members to reaffirm our commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
Parent-Teacher Engagement: We will conduct meetings with School Management Committees (SMCs) and Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) to raise awareness about the significance of hygiene practices, water conservation, and sanitation. Through these interactions, we aim to inspire and empower parents to support these initiatives at both school and home.
Infrastructure Assessment: Our teachers will conduct thorough inspections of water and sanitary facilities within the school premises to identify any maintenance requirements. We will develop plans for the repair and upkeep of these facilities to ensure a conducive environment for all.
Creative Competitions: Students will participate in various creative competitions such as Essay Writing, Slogan/Poem Writing, Painting, Elocution, Quiz, and Model Making centred around cleanliness and hygiene practices. These activities aim to encourage creativity while reinforcing the importance of cleanliness.
Digital Awareness: Swachhata awareness messages will be shared on our school website, and captivating photographs highlighting cleanliness initiatives will be displayed throughout the school premises to engage and inform the school community.
